You love a design but want it in a different colour. Or you adore the embroidery but need longer sleeves. Or everything is perfect except you want it as a kurta instead of an anarkali. Here's what modifications are possible—and what might not work.

Because every piece is made from scratch for you, modifications are built into the process. You're not altering a finished garment—you're customizing before production begins.

Easy Modifications (Usually No Extra Cost)

Fit & Measurements

This is the core of custom—every piece is made to your measurements:

• Your exact bust, waist, hip measurements
• Custom length (kurta, anarkali, lehenga)
• Sleeve length adjustments
• Neckline depth changes

Sleeve Options

• Sleeveless to full sleeves (or anything between)
• Cap sleeves, elbow length, three-quarter, full
• Sleeve style (fitted, flared, puff)

Neckline Modifications

• V-neck, round, boat, sweetheart, square
• Deeper or more modest depth
• Collar addition for contemporary looks

Back Design Changes

• Open back to closed (or vice versa)
• Different back depth
• Tie-back, hooks, zip closure

Length Adjustments

• Kurta length (hip, thigh, knee, calf, ankle)
• Anarkali flare length
• Pant/sharara length for your height

Moderate Modifications (May Have Additional Cost)

Colour Changes

Within existing colourways: If we offer the design in multiple colours, switching is simple.

Custom colour: If you need a colour we don't stock, we may need to source or dye fabric. This adds time and possibly cost.

Embroidery Colour Adjustments

• Changing thread colours to complement different base
• Adjusting zari from gold to silver (or mixed)
• Modifying accent colours in the embroidery

Silhouette Changes

• Anarkali to A-line kurta (reducing flare)
• Straight pants to palazzos or shararas
• Adding or removing layers

Adding Elements

• Extra embroidery on sleeves or back
• Border additions
• Dupatta work enhancements

Complex Modifications (Requires Discussion)

Major Design Changes

• Completely different embroidery pattern
• Changing the fundamental silhouette significantly

Some designs work across fabrics; others are designed specifically for one. We'll advise what translates well.

• Less embroidery than shown

Usually possible, and may reduce cost. Discuss upfront.

What's Difficult to Modify

Signature Design Elements

Some pieces have defining characteristics—removing them changes the design entirely. We'll discuss alternatives.

Techniques That Don't Transfer

Certain embroidery techniques only work on specific fabrics. Requesting incompatible combinations may not be feasible.

Last-Minute Changes

Once production begins, changes become difficult or impossible. Finalize decisions before production starts.

Step 4: Final Confirmation Before Production

You approve the final specifications before we begin. No surprises.

Can I see what the modification will look like before ordering?
We describe in detail and can share reference images of similar modifications. For major changes, we discuss thoroughly to ensure alignment.

What if I want to combine two designs?
Often possible—embroidery from one, silhouette from another. Share both and we'll advise on what works together.

Can you recreate something I saw elsewhere?
Share images. If it's within our technique capabilities, we can discuss creating something similar.

Is there extra charge for modifications?
Standard fit modifications: no. Colour/design changes: possibly. We quote upfront before you commit.
